Herbal Therapy

Herbal Therapy> What is Herbal Therapy?

Wellness Through Balance recommends herbs that are usually combined in formulations. These formulas enhance the herbs individual actions and properties. The signs and symptoms of patterns are matched with the appropriate herbs to gain therapeutic effects. These combinations of herbs reflect each client's individual pattern of disharmonies, and meet each individual's specific needs.

Herbs are foods that can supplement our diets and fortify our health even in cases where there is no disease, just a desire to maintain good health and prevent illnesses -especially as we age.

Often, Western medicine intervenes only after crisis arises, whereas Herbal Medicine- especially Chinese Herbal Medicine prevents problems by sustaining our interior and external balance. By correcting imbalances and disharmonies at an earlier stage, greater problems can be avoided later on.

Traditional Chinese Medicine is no substitute for Western Medicine. They are complementary. There is no substitute for the emergency or diagnostic capabilities that Western Medicine offers. Traditional Chinese Medicine is more prevention based - seeing a practitioner on a regular basis can keep small imbalances from spiraling into large health issues. It is also useful for nagging chronic problems, auto-immune issues, women's health issues, chronic pain, skin disorders and digestive/weight issues. Most of all, it is a medicine that can respond to the root cause of health issues, resolve them, and set up lifestyle habits that will lead to a healthier future.

The practitioners at Wellness Through Balance will offer herbal therapy guidance only after a complete traditional diagnosis is made. Only then will herbal formulas be recommended
